Archiving

DALTI - all data at immediate disposal at any time.

Online archive

With the decreasing costs for modern hard disks, it has become reasonable to have short term archive as well as long term archive on disks.

We provide individual proposals for archives with RAID systems. Such a RAID is, for instance, configured for a mid-term archiving, and can be later extended on demand.

Besides the redundancy provided by the RAID system, all data receive moreover a backup, either on an identical system (with or without failover), or within the network by using free ressources.

So the archiving and the backuping are done:

  • on-line with or without near-line
  • on server + RAID or NAS or SAN
  • with or without tape back-up
  • with or without archive filer
  • with or without virtualized environment
  • with or without remote datacenter

Advantage: Quick access to all data at low investment costs.

All data directly available

All data can be directly accessed, as they are stored on the local machine or within the internal network.

  • In case of local storage of new or old data on a DAS, the access takes few seconds. That delay depends mainly on the bandwidth of the LAN.
  • In case of network storage of old data on a NAS, the delay of access to those data depends even more on the bandwidth of the LAN.
  • In case of long term archive in a remote datacenter, the delay of access to those data depends mainly on the bandwidth of the external network.
Load balancing - intelligent distribution of utilization

Intelligent distribution of data onto the available resources provides a steady load of all systems, and an additional acceleration of loading times.

DICOM - archiving format as standard

All images are stored in standardized and open DICOM format (a different storage in another format can be done on demand, nonetheless).

DALTI uses existing network ressources and keeps archives growing according to the demands of its users.

DALTI module 'PACS-Server'

Operating System
